Citrus Medical Marijuana Clinic

In order to be considered for a medical marijuana prescription, you must have a qualifying condition according to the state of Florida to benefit from the use of medical marijuana. The State of Florida allows doctors to order medical marijuana for patients with a qualifying medical condition.

You must also meet the qualifying conditions for the Florida Medical Marijuana Program (Senate Bill 8-A). These conditions include:  

  • Cancer
  • Epilepsy
  • Glaucoma
  • HIV/AIDS
  • PTSD
  • ALS
  • Crohn’s disease
  • Parkinson’s disease
  • Multiple Sclerosis
  • Terminal Conditions
  • Chronic nonmalignant Pain

Additionally, Senate Bill 8-A allows physicians to certify patients for medical marijuana recommendation after diagnosis of “other debilitating medical conditions of the same kind, class, or comparable to those above.  These may include:

  • Severe generalized anxiety disorder
  • Anorexia
  • Arthritis with chronic debilitating pain
  • Back pain
  • Cachexia
  • Cyclical vomiting syndrome
  • Diabetes
  • Hepatitis C
  • Irritable bowel syndrome (with chronic abdominal pain)
  • Lyme disease
  • Migraine
  • Muscle spasm
  • Muscular dystrophy
  • Severe & chronic pain
  • Severe nausea
  • Sickle cell anemia
  • Other debilitating conditions of like, kind, class
